There are two major types of bike sharing programs. (Docked and Dockless) Docked bikes must be picked up at a docking station and returned to a docking station. Dockless bike are usually first come first serve and will be located at the place the previous rider completed their ride. Docked bikes complete the session once the bike has been docked. Dockless bikes have different locking mechanisms that when engaged will complete the session.
What to know before you pay:
-Check the bike over insuring it is in good shape, tires are solid, and it is in decent operating order.
-Make sure you return the bike properly whether in a dock or dockless.
-If the return station if full – check your app for the next closest station
