Throughout your trip and especially on the plane – stay hydrated!
You might not even realize you are dehydrated. You start to feel sluggish and tired and you might even think you are just jet lagged. So many times part of jet lag is not staying hydrated.
When you get to your destination be sure to keep drinking water. When traveling overseas drink bottled water whenever possible. The local tap water can cause issues since you are not used to it or the water can be unsafe. Most countries offer two types of bottled water – with gas and without gas. Be sure to specify which one you prefer. You can usually just say no gas (still water) if you do not want carbonation.
NOTE: Order your drinks without ice to be extra careful.
