We decided to start adding a Tip of the Day. These are tips that have helped us in our travels.
FIRST TIP OF THE DAY!!
Dropbox is your friend!
Sign up for a free dropbox account so you can access your travel information from anywhere in the world through your tablet, computer, or smart phone.
We normally carry our travel documents with us. These documents include boarding passes, accommodation reservation information, rental car documents, important email strings, etc. However, these can get lost, which just happened to us during our last trip. It is nice to have a digital copy you can access at anytime as long as you have WiFi or an international cell phone plan. We copy all our documents to the cloud using Dropbox. Another option if you have Office 365 is One Drive.
NOTE: Several credit cards companies offer collision insurance on car rentals. This means you can decline the collision insurance at most rental car agencies. However, there is a list of countries that are excluded by several major credit cards companies. These are Australia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, and New Zealand**. If you have a card that covers these certain countries such Chase Sapphire **, the rental agency will require documentation proving such. Always check with your credit card company concerning their policy.
**This information is good at time of posting (2.15.2017) but can change.
To access Dropbox from your smartphone just download the dropbox app.
